How BF4 sensitivity works
The slider is offset rather than proportional: a setting of 0 still turns the camera. Doubling the number therefore does not double your turn speed, which is why you should convert instead of scaling by hand.

There is no single best value, but most players settle between 25 and 60 cm per 360°. In Battlefield 4 at 800 DPI that is a sensitivity of roughly 3 to 9. If you already aim well in another game, convert that sensitivity instead of starting from scratch.
Does changing DPI change my Battlefield 4 sensitivity?
