Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information SensConverters ("we", "us") handles when you visit sensconverters.com (the "site"), why, who else is involved, and the choices you have. We have tried to keep it short and specific to how this site actually works.

The short version: the converters and calculators run entirely in your browser. The sensitivity, DPI and field of view values you type are never sent to us. There are no accounts. Your last settings are remembered only on your own device. Our hosting provider processes standard technical data to deliver the site, Google Analytics counts visits, and if ads are shown, Google and its partners may use cookies as described below.

1. Information you type into the tools

Every conversion on the site (sens converter, eDPI, DPI and cm/360 calculators, game and pair pages) is calculated by JavaScript in your browser. The numbers you enter and the games you pick are not uploaded, logged or stored on any server we control.

The mouse DPI tester reads relative mouse movement inside your browser while the test runs. Those counts are used to show the result on screen and are discarded when you leave the page. They are never transmitted.

2. What is saved on your device

To save you retyping your setup, the site keeps a few small values in your browser's local storage. Local storage stays on your device and is not sent with web requests.

• sc:v1: the last two games you converted between and your mouse DPI.
• sc:fav: the games you starred as favourites in the game picker.
• theme: whether you chose the light or dark theme.

You can remove these at any time by clearing site data for sensconverters.com in your browser settings. The tools keep working without them; they simply start from their default values.

3. Accounts and personal details

The site has no accounts, sign-up forms, comments or newsletters. We do not ask for, and do not hold, your name, postal address, phone number, password or payment details.

4. When you email us

If you write to hello@sensconverters.com, we receive your email address, your message and anything you choose to include, such as the games and settings you are reporting. We use this only to reply, to check and fix the issue you reported, and to improve the game data. We do not add you to any mailing list and we do not sell or share your email. We keep correspondence only as long as it is useful for those purposes and delete it within 24 months.

5. Hosting and server logs

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. To deliver pages and protect the site from abuse, Cloudflare processes technical data for each request, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the page requested, the referring page and the time of the request. Cloudflare may set strictly necessary security cookies to tell people and bots apart. This processing is covered byCloudflare's privacy policy. We do not use these logs to identify individual visitors.

6. Cookies

The settings described in section 2 use local storage, not cookies. Cookies are used by the services the site relies on: Google Analytics, to count visits, as described in section 8; Cloudflare, for security, as described above; and advertising partners when ads are shown, as described in section 7. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the tools on the site work without them.

7. Advertising

The tools are free. To pay for hosting and development, the site may display advertising served by Google AdSense. Ads never influence conversion results, and no game, player or product pays to appear in our data.

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
• You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google's My Ad Center. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info or, in Europe,youronlinechoices.eu.
• To learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services, seeHow Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

Where the law requires it, including for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, you will be asked for consent before cookies are used for personalised advertising, and you can change that choice at any time. If you decline, you may still see non-personalised ads.

8. Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4, a service from Google, to understand how the site is used: which pages are visited, how visitors arrive, which country and type of device they use, and how long they stay. This helps us decide which games and tools to improve. Google Analytics does not receive the sensitivity, DPI or other values you type into the tools.

• Google Analytics sets first-party cookies, named _ga and _ga_DH1SZPR08G, that hold a random identifier so repeat visits can be counted. They expire after up to two years.
• Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. Google uses them only briefly to work out an approximate location, such as the country.
• We see only aggregated reports. We cannot identify you from them, and we do not combine them with other data about you.
• Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are measured without analytics cookies, using Google's Consent Mode, unless they give consent.
• You can opt out at any time with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or by blocking cookies for this site. To learn more, see how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

9. Legal bases for processing

If you are in the EEA or the UK, we rely on these legal bases under the GDPR and UK GDPR:

• Legitimate interests, for delivering and securing the site (server logs) and for answering emails you send us.
• Consent, for analytics cookies and for cookies used for personalised advertising. Without your consent, these cookies are not set.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, receive a copy in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time. Residents of California and other US states with privacy laws may also have the right to know what personal information is collected and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information.

Because the site does not keep accounts and the values you type never reach us, in practice the only personal data we may hold is email you sent us. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@sensconverters.com. For data processed by Google or Cloudflare, you can also use their own privacy tools linked above. You have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

11. International transfers

Cloudflare and Google operate servers in many countries, including the United States. When they process data for the site, it may be transferred outside your country. Both providers use safeguards recognised under data protection law, such as standard contractual clauses, for these transfers.

12. Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Because we do not collect personal data through the tools, there is very little to protect on our side. No method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect the email correspondence we hold.

13. Children

The site is a general audience tool for gamers and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

14. Links to other websites

Some pages link to other websites, for example the source of a professional player's settings. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites; please read their policies.

15. Changes to this policy

When this policy changes, we will post the new version on this page and update the date at the top. If a change affects how your data is used in a significant way, we will make it clear on this page before it takes effect.
