How R6 sensitivity works

Siege only accepts whole numbers from 1 to 100. With the default multiplier (MouseSensitivityMultiplierUnit=0.02 in GameSettings.ini) each point turns about 0.00573 degrees per count.

Because the steps are coarse, the rounded result can sit a few percent away from a perfect match. Lowering the multiplier in GameSettings.ini gives finer steps.

This converter assumes the default multiplier of 0.02.

Rainbow Six Siege only accepts whole numbers. Around a setting of 8 at 800 DPI, one step changes your 360 distance by about 2.8 cm. If the rounded value feels off, adjust your mouse DPI slightly to close the gap.

To change it, open Options > Controls and edit Mouse Sensitivity Horizontal. Enter the converted value exactly as shown above.

The formula behind this page is cm/360 = 914.4 ÷ (DPI × sens × 0.00573). With 8 at 800 DPI that gives 24.9 cm for a full turn. You can check any setup with the cm/360 calculator.

R6 sens converter FAQ

How do I convert my sensitivity to Rainbow Six Siege?

Pick your current game in “Convert from”, choose Rainbow Six Siege in “Convert to”, then type your sensitivity and DPI. The converter matches your 360° distance, so the same swipe turns you the same amount. For example, Valorant 0.4 is 5 in Rainbow Six Siege at the same DPI.

What is 8 R6 sens in Valorant?

A Rainbow Six Siege sensitivity of 8 equals 0.655 in Valorant when you use the same DPI in both games. At 800 DPI that is 24.9 cm per 360° turn.

What is a good sensitivity for Rainbow Six Siege?

There is no single best value, but most players settle between 25 and 60 cm per 360°. In Rainbow Six Siege at 800 DPI that is a sensitivity of roughly 4 to 7. If you already aim well in another game, convert that sensitivity instead of starting from scratch.

Does changing DPI change my Rainbow Six Siege sensitivity?

Your real turn speed is DPI multiplied by sensitivity. If you double your DPI, halve your Rainbow Six Siege sensitivity to keep the same aim. Enter the new DPI in the converter and it does this for you.

Where do I change sensitivity in Rainbow Six Siege?

Open Options > Controls and edit “Mouse Sensitivity Horizontal”. Type the converted number exactly as shown, then test it with a few slow 180° turns.
