How to convert R6 sens to Valorant

  1. 1

Find your Rainbow Six Siege sensitivity

Open Options > Controls in Rainbow Six Siege and note the value of Mouse Sensitivity Horizontal.

  2. 2

    Enter it in the converter

Type the value into the Sensitivity field above. Rainbow Six Siege and Valorant are already selected.

  3. 3

    Set your mouse DPI

Enter the DPI you play at. Leave both DPI fields the same unless you use a different DPI in each game.

  4. 4

    Type the result into Valorant

Open Settings > General > Mouse in Valorant and set Sensitivity: Aim to the converted value.

The math behind it

Rainbow Six Siege turns 0.00573° per mouse count at sensitivity 1 and Valorant turns 0.07°. Dividing one by the other gives the multiplier: 0.00573 ÷ 0.07 = 0.0819.

Siege only accepts whole numbers from 1 to 100. With the default multiplier (MouseSensitivityMultiplierUnit=0.02 in GameSettings.ini) each point turns about 0.00573 degrees per count.

Because the steps are coarse, the rounded result can sit a few percent away from a perfect match. Lowering the multiplier in GameSettings.ini gives finer steps.

Valorant turns 0.07 degrees per mouse count at sensitivity 1. That is about 3.18 times more than CS2 for the same number, which is why Valorant values look so small.

The field of view is locked at 103, so no FOV slider can change how your hipfire feels.

R6 to Valorant FAQ

How do I convert Rainbow Six Siege sensitivity to Valorant?

Multiply your Rainbow Six Siege sensitivity by 0.0819. For example, 8 in Rainbow Six Siege is 8 × 0.0819 = 0.655 in Valorant. This assumes the same mouse DPI in both games.

What is 8 R6 sens in Valorant?

8 in Rainbow Six Siege equals 0.655 in Valorant at the same DPI. With an 800 DPI mouse both give 24.9 cm per 360° turn.

Do I need the same DPI in R6 and Valorant?

It is easiest to keep one DPI for every game. If you do use a different DPI in Valorant, enter it in the second DPI field and the converter adjusts the result.

Why does Valorant still feel different after converting?

The conversion matches hipfire turn speed. Rainbow Six Siege and Valorant can still differ in field of view, movement speed and how scoped or ADS sensitivity is scaled, which changes how fast a turn looks on screen. Play a few sessions before you adjust the number.
